How AI Will Change Your Business Roles: A 12-18 Month Outlook

For insurance, you might look at:

4. Picture the Future

Think about how these roles might change in the next 12-18 months with AI. How will tasks and responsibilities shift? How can AI free up your team for more strategic work?

In our insurance example, Claims Processors could focus on complex claims that need human judgement, while AI handles the routine stuff. Insurance Agents might use AI to crunch client data, giving them more time for relationship building.

5. Plan Your Move

Map out how you’ll bring AI into these roles. Include training plans and a timeline for rollout. Start small with pilot programs, then scale up based on what works.

For the insurance brokerage, you might introduce an AI claims tool over three months. Train your team on how to use it. Do the same with a chatbot for customer queries.

6. Talk to Your Team

Be upfront about how AI will change their jobs. Address worries and highlight the benefits. Clear communication is key to getting everyone on board.

Hold a team meeting. Show how AI will cut down on boring tasks and free them up for more interesting work. Make it clear that AI is there to help, not replace them.
