# AI training in Sligo: What Vendor Finance thought of the course

Two members of the Vendor Finance team recently attended the AI Skills Development course I deliver for Sligo Chamber Skillnet.

Vendor Finance is a Sligo-based business founded by Hugh Arnold, its Managing Director. After the training, Hugh shared some feedback on what his team learned and how it has changed their thinking about AI.

Hugh said the feedback from his staff had been fantastic. They found the course informative and eye-opening, particularly in understanding where AI might help a small business.

He highlighted three areas they're now looking at: improving efficiency, customer service, and sales and business development.

It's encouraging to hear that the course has prompted those conversations. For me, that's an important first step in AI adoption: helping people recognise where the technology could make a practical difference in their own work.

## About the AI Skills Development course

I designed and deliver this course for Sligo Chamber Skillnet. It's aimed at small and medium-sized businesses that want to understand how to use AI effectively and responsibly.

We cover practical AI opportunities, choosing useful tasks, testing ideas, managing risks and helping staff adopt the technology. The programme is organised by Sligo Chamber Skillnet and is eligible for grant support through Skillnet Ireland's Upskill SME Training Grant.

Eligible businesses may be able to claim back up to €204.30 per person, per training day, subject to the current grant terms and eligibility requirements.
